Of Mice, Zebrafish, and Men: If Steinbeck Had Been A Clinician
Description
This series of two independent workshops was conducted in November 2005. Speakers provided perspective from the basic and clinical side of a research problem that has been approached using transgenic animal models; described ways that clinicians can use results from transgenic models to enhance/complement their research; and discussed reasons why it is beneficial for basic scientists to seek collaborations with clinical scientists to further their research and bring it into a more applied realm.
