The Office of Clinical Research, Health Sciences and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute Community PARTners Program regularly receive requests or invitations from community organizations, religious and faith based institutions, and local corporations to provide or assist with educational opportunities as it relates to improving the health of the community. All of our community outreach initiatives work to provide researchers with a mechanism to present on various health and wellness topics in the community. At that time, researchers are provided a unique opportunity to share information about their current studies, updates of the latest research findings, and a forum to develop a research informed lay community.
The Office of Clinical Research, Health Sciences, the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), and UPMC Office of Contracts, Grants, and Intellectual Property invites you to join our Community Outreach Speakers Bureau. For all interested research investigators and staff an online training course is being offered to provide a distinctive opportunity to gather insight and develop strategies on communicating and recruiting research participants in a community setting.
Upon your completion of the training and the COSB registration form, you will be enrolled in the Community Outreach Speakers Bureau. As we receive requests for speakers from our community partners in your respective area of interest, you will be notified and encouraged to attend the event. If you or someone from your staff will not be able to be present, we can make arrangements to promote your study using brochures or flyers. We look forward to working with you and thank you for your interest in the Community Outreach Speaker Bureau.
